• 10/24/09 - Annual Cross-Country Family Dinner and Awards Night will be Sunday, November 15, 2009 at 5 p.m., Normanside Country Club, Delmar. Parents: Please join the kids in this once a year final XC Team event, all the kids have run long and hard since August! Coaches will present runners with school letters, bars, and season highlights. • 7/14/09 - Attention BCHS XC runners – There will be a meeting with parents of boys and girls cross country runners interested in planning for our team to attend the Great American Meet in Cary, North Carolina on Saturday, Oct. 3rd. The meeting will be on Monday, July 20th at the large picnic pavilion at the Town Park at 6:30 pm.
  
  
• 5/26/09 - Summer Running Program
  What: Summer Running Program.... 'Eagle Base Camp'
  When: Every Monday and Wednesday evening at 6:30 beginning Monday, June 29th running through Wednesday, August 17th.
  Where: Elm Avenue Park, Bethlehem. Large Pavilion.
  Who: Anyone interested in running to get in shape for their Fall or Winter Sport!
  Cost: No charge!
  
  'Eagle Base Camp' is a low-key, fun, program designed to bring athletes together and help build endurance. Key components:
  * Flexibility training
  * Group runs based on age, experience, time, and distance
  * Guest speakers
  * Post-run picnic at least once a week!

THE KIDS NEED YOU!

There are various ways parents can help, and we invite you to get involved:

1. Join the Booster Club. The Bethlehem Central Cross Country and Track and Field Booster Club (Delmar, NY) brings parents together to help with meets and to raise money for items not included in the normal school athletics budget. Support raised by the club has helped purchase a race clock, race timers, meet scoring software, team tents, and covered other expenses such as entry fees and bus transportation for meets, awards, and hosting fees for this web site. Booster Club dues are currently $25 per family per year. Members receive a discount on the cost of end-of-season family dinners. To join, please mail-in the Booster Club Membership Form (a PDF file, in Adobe Acrobat format).
